Mike has adapted this Edwardian walnut roll-top desk for modern day use.
The owner wanted the desk adapted so that it would accommodate a large computer monitor and computer unit, CPU. The drawers on the right of the desk have been made into a door front to accommodate the CPU; a panel has been removed under the desk to allow for cables and provide ventilation. The internal top of the desk has been lowered to allow the monitor to sit inside the roll top. All internal parts of the desk have been saved so the desk can be restored to its original form if required in the future.
Outwardly, when the desk is closed, there is no sign of the computer.
